Bicycle Touring in Pakistan With Kamran On Bike

Sometimes I get questions like, “don’t you feel lonely on such a long bicycle journey?” Or, “why don’t you cycle with a companion or a group?” Or, “can I join you on your next bicycle tour?”

To answer the first question, I don’t feel lonely on the road. I am always absorbed by something—the landscape, thinking about the world, and the reflections upon life.

I am alone, not lonely. In aloneness, I can have a word with myself. I can contemplate and let my positive and negative sides have a conversation with each other. I am merely a listener to this dialogue. The more quiet and peaceful I am, the clearer I can hear to myself.

Solitude is the quality of being alone without feeling miserable.

For this reason, I have always wanted to cycle alone because I can lose myself on the road.

Now to answer the third question, can others join me on a bicycle tour?

I always have hesitated that because of my solitary nature.

But, after doing a short group ride in Passu last year, I realized that cycling with others could also be fun and lead to a meaningful exchange of learning. I have a wealth of stories from my cycling trip around the world. Despite posting thousands of pictures and videos, and hundreds of articles, I could only share a fraction of the experiences from the road. Many valuable stories and lessons remain only inside me. I want to share them with others. But such tales need to be told on the road and to the listeners who have a wild heart.

Therefore, I invite you to join me on a bicycle trip to some of the most spectacular places in Pakistan.

Just imagine cycling together in a grand landscape and experiencing nature and indigenous cultures along the way. Imagine losing ourselves under a starry sky and sharing stories of travels and life experiences with each other on a bonfire.
